For Eur 20.00 you can purchase a year old Almond tree to be planted by us on your behalf in one of our Orchards. This cost covers the cost of us buying in young trees and the necessary substrate to give the young plant the best chance of survival.
For Eur 10.00 you can sponsor one of our established trees to help with maintenance and ground preparation for replacement planting.
For your sponsorship, you will receive a photo of your tree and a registration/location certificate.
in 2022 we started our Almond germination programme to grow our own saplings. This difficult and very delicate process will enable us to plant many more trees for a fraction of the cost of buying in year old trees.
In January 2023 we took over an additional 50 Olive trees with a plan to introduce our own Cold Press Extra Virgin Olive Oil, pressed from our own Olives. This will be available in small batches but of excellent quality.
In November 2023 we aim to produce our own Almond Butter. This already has advanced interest from Scotland and we expect this to be a huge success
Our goal over the next 10 years is to expand our land meterage through the ongoing sourcing and purchasing of suitable, localised land to return to tree-based agriculture. This is an expensive and sometimes difficult process when dealing with land registry and registered land usage.
We are therefore introducing a 'Land Sponsorship' scheme to assist us in covering the cost of obtaining areas we feel suitable.
For a cost of Eur 5.00 per square meter, you will be sponsoring a unique piece of land for a period of 5 years.
Whilst we are keen to keep our overheads and running costs to a minimum and with all labour carried out by the two of us and our son, even with our current 20,000 square meters of land it is a very physical days work.
Currently, every task is carried out manually, and we soon came to the decision that we desperately needed a small Orchard Tractor to help us cope with the massive task we have.
As a suitable second-hand tractor will cost us in the region of Eur 10,000 we therefore appealed for donations no matter how small be it a nut or bolt, to a PTO shaft to help us achieve our goal. We are very pleased to say that by June 2022 we took charge of our nearly new Kubota Tractor and would like to say a massive thank you to all our friends and sponsors that helped us achieve this milestone.
On this occasion, we are not begging for donations or financial support, but this appeal is just as important to us.
Our mission is to provide sustainable, ecologically, and environmentally suitable organic farming across our region. We are only a small farm, in a very small village, but we have a loud voice and an important message to get out as far as we can, and to do this we welcome your help and support.
All we ask is that your organisations, businesses, and groups actively advertise and promote who we are, what we do, and how what we do can make a difference, wherever and however you can, to raise as much awareness as possible
